Pre-Production: Wardrobe, Props and Locations.
Before we began to film major dates and scenes, we planned costumes, props and locations.

Props:
Baseball bat and modified bat-
we borrowed some baseball bats from the college (for the bad guys). This was so we could hint towards violence. Moreover, we wanted to create our own bat. We all put money together to buy our own baseball bat and we decided to hammer nails into it. This was to create a dramatic effect and hyperbolise the breakdown of a social structure.
Government Folder-
We needed to create a secret folder for Eve's mother as we wanted to hide the plot in it. By using a normal black folder, we created a logo/icon on Serif DrawPlus. This created a sense of secrecy and emphasised the importance of the folder.

Wardrobe:
We all decided that it was essential to portray a sense of realism with costumes. Therefore, we said that the actors should wear ordinary teenage clothing. However, we wanted the 'bad' group to wear darker clothing than the 'good' group. This was to symbolise their opposition but also to resemble the darkness of the 'new world'.
For Eve, we felt it may be a good idea to have her wear a white top to symbolise her purity and innocence and to wear lighter clothing than the others.
As for Haden and Selene, we thought they should wear pea coats to represent their status and wealthy background. Moreover, as for make-up, we suggested that Selene should wear heavy black eye-shadow/eye-liner, alongside red lipstick whereas Eve should wear a very little amount. This was to portray the idea that Haden's group could afford to stay looking glamorous as they live in the town unlike Michael's group who are drastically effected by the loss of adults.
